Located on the Bay of Quinte in a quiet location along the south shore of Adolphus Reach, Kat's Cradle is a great place for rest and relaxation. This one level cottage accommodates a maximum of 4 persons age 10 and over, additional sleeping for 1 more person age 9 and under (local by-law 4518-2019). Cleaning is included but guests are still required to do their dishes, remove all food, take out the garbage/recycling, move items back to original spots, and to leave the cottage tidy. This comfortable two-bedroom open concept vacation home includes a stone fireplace, oak hardwood floors, huge water view deck with lounge chairs, and a gazebo. The kids will enjoy playing in the spacious and shaded yard and the dock will provide hours of fishing entertainment. In the evening, you will take delight in grilling your dinner on the deck while appreciating the wonderful view of the bay. End the day by roasting marshmallows and telling tales around the waterside campfire as the sun sets over the bay.
The Bay of Quinte offers some of the best walleye and bass fishing in Ontario. In addition to the private waterfront, a concrete boat launch and 20-foot dock are available for your use and pleasure. Kat's Cradle is a great meeting spot for get-togethers with family, friends, girlfriends and fishing buddies, as well as a great romantic getaway. The local roads are ideal for cycling too.
Kat's Cradle is located about 15 minutes east of Picton near the natural wonder of Lake-on-the-Mountain, Glenora Ferry, the Waupoos Winery, County Cidery, Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Co, and Rose Museum. While you're here, be sure to check out the many other attractions of Prince Edward County including the wineries and vineyards, and the famous Sandbanks Provincial Park. If you're looking for adventure, you could tour the local wineries, spend the day at a spa, shop and browse in the boutiques, artisan and antique shops, dine out at a fine restaurant or pub, play a round of golf, tour the County on bicycle, try your luck at fishing, or check out the local farm markets.
